Rubber mold hardness Tester

A rubber mold durometer measures hardness by pressing an indenter into the rubber surface under spring pressure and converting the depth of penetration into a hardness value. It is used to test the hardness of materials such as vulcanized rubber and thermoplastic elastomers, ensuring that the hardness of molded products meets production requirements.
Selection
Select the indenter size based on the thickness of the material being tested, using a smaller size for thin materials. Consider the rubber hardness range; choose the D-type for high hardness and the A-type for ordinary hardness. Environmental temperature affects the measurement, so operate under standard temperature conditions. Regularly calibrate the instrument using a standard hardness block.
