Overview
LX-O type O rubber hardness gauge is a product of HBO, suitable for Hardness measurement of soft rubber, thermal plasticity resilience, extremely soft plastics and thermal plasticity plastics, medium density Spinning & weaving coils, especially recommended for hardness of materials < 20 HDO occasions. The hardness gauge can be used in hand or with a fixed load test bench.
Features
1. Suitable for measurement of soft rubber, thermal plasticity resilience, extremely soft plastics and other materials.
It is especially recommended for materials with a Hardness value below 20 HDO.
3. Provide two ways of use: handheld and bench fixed, which is flexible and convenient.
4. According to the American ASTM D2240 standard, corresponding to the Type O hardness gauge.
Principle
The hardness gauge characterizes the hardness of materials by measuring the depth to which the pin is pressed into the material under test at a specific pressure. The pressure applied to the end of the pin varies in the range of 0.55-8, the travel range of the pin is 0-2.5 mm, and the Hardness value in the range of 0-100HO is read directly on the hardness gauge dial according to the depth of pressing.
Applications
Soft rubber, thermal plasticity resilience, extremely soft and thermal plasticity plastics, medium density Spinning & weaving coils
Steps
1. Clean and ensure that the surface of the tested sample is flat, smooth, and clean.
2. Press the hardness gauge vertically to the surface of the sample to ensure that the pressure needle is in full contact with the sample.
3. Under the specified pressure (pressure needle end pressure 0.55-8), keep stable.
4. After the hands are stable, read the Hardness value (HO) directly from the dial.
5. For more accurate measurement, the hardness gauge can be installed on the matching LAC-J fixed load test bench.
Notice
* Before measurement, ensure that the thickness of the tested sample is sufficient, the surface is flat and smooth, and there are no bubbles or impurities.
* The hardness gauge must be pressed vertically to the measured surface during measurement to avoid inaccurate readings due to tilt.
* The travel range of the pressing needle is 0-2.5 mm, please do not use it beyond Travel.
* Regularly calibrated with O-type standard Hardness blocks to ensure measurement accuracy.
* The instrument should avoid violent vibration and impact, and be stored in a drying, non-corrosion gas environment.
