Iron-based Thickness Gauge

The iron-based thickness gauge utilizes the principle of magnetic induction. When the probe comes into contact with ferromagnetic substrates, changes in the magnetic field are proportional to the coating thickness, and the value is displayed through electrical signal conversion. It is commonly used to measure the thickness of coatings and platings on steel surfaces, particularly in fields such as automotive, shipbuilding, and anti-corrosion applications for steel structures.
Selection
When selecting, consider the shape of the substrate to match the probe type: use a single-point probe for flat surfaces and a special probe for curved surfaces. The measurement range should cover the thickness of the coating to be tested. Environmental adaptability includes temperature and humidity. The calibration method must support zero adjustment on the substrate without coating. Portability needs determine whether to choose a handheld or split-type device.
