Fluorescent Whiteness Meter

The fluorescent whiteness meter irradiates the sample with an ultraviolet light source to detect the intensity of blue light generated by the excitation of fluorescent brighteners in the material. It calculates the whiteness value by combining diffuse reflection measurements. It is used for whiteness control and the evaluation of fluorescent brightener effects in materials such as paper, textiles, and plastics.
Selection
When selecting, focus on matching the measurement aperture to the sample size, and ensure the calibration plate includes fluorescent standards. Consider the sample stage's adaptability for both flat and curved surface measurements, and ensure the instrument features adjustable ultraviolet intensity. Verify that the measurement spectral range covers the 430-460nm blue light band, and confirm that the data interface meets laboratory recording requirements.
