Overview
FA1004M Density Electronic Balance is a High Accuracy and Multifunctional Electronic Balance developed by HENGPING brand on the basis of FA/JA series. It uses a unique electromagnetic force equilibrating force Sensor and a high-performance monolithic microprocessor system, which integrates accuracy, stability and automation, and can meet the requirements of laboratory Density measurement and mass analysis. Equipped with Density measurement components, the Balance can directly and accurately measure solid Density, and realize Density determination and direct reading of liquids, solids and particulate matter (PM), effectively reducing the tediousness of manual conversion and human error.

Principle
Density measurement of solids is based on the Archimedes principle. Solid Density is calculated using the formula P (Solid Density) = [a/(a-b) ] * (Po-Pl) + Pl by measuring the mass (a) of solids in air and the mass (b) of solids in auxiliary liquids of known density, such as water or ethanol, in combination with auxiliary liquid Density (Po) and air Density (Pl).

Steps
1. Connect the Power Adapter and turn on Balance.
2. Density measurement components are installed according to measurement requirements.
3. The sample to be tested is weighed in air and mass (a) is recorded.
4. Immerse the sample to be tested in an auxiliary liquid of known Density (e.g. water or ethanol) and weigh and record mass (b).
5. Balance automatically calculates and displays Density values according to the built-in formula, or manually calculates according to the formula P (Solid Density) = [a/(a-b) ] * (Po-Pl) + Pl.
Notice
* Please use 220V External AC Power Adapter (DC6V × 2A) for power supply.
* The net weight of the instrument is 8000g, please make sure to place the platform firmly.
* The integration time can be adjusted as needed (2.5/5/10s adjustable).
The stabilization time is usually ≤ 8s, please wait for the reading to stabilize before recording.
* Pan Size is φ 80mm, please make sure the sample size is appropriate.
Use auxiliary fluids of known Density such as water or ethanol for measurement.
* Note the value of Air Density Pl in the formula (0.0012g/cm ³).
Do not use beyond the weighing range (0 to 100g).
* Keep the instrument clean and drying to avoid contact with corrosive substances.
