Overview
FA1204M Density Electronic Balance is a High Accuracy Electronic Balance developed by HENGPING brand on the basis of FA/JA series. It uses a unique electromagnetic force equilibrated Sensor and a high-performance monolithic microprocessor system, which integrates accuracy, stability, versatility and automation, and can meet the requirements of laboratory Density measurement and mass analysis. Equipped with Density measurement components, the Balance can directly and clearly measure solid Density and realize direct reading of liquid, solid and particulate matter (PM) Density, effectively reducing the tediousness of manual conversion and human error.

Principle
This Density Balance is based on the Archimedes principle for Density measurement. For solids, its Density is calculated as: P (Solid Density) = [a/(a-b) ] (Po-Pl) + Pl. Where a represents the mass of the solid in air, b represents the mass of the solid in liquid, Po is the known auxiliary liquid (e.g. water or ethanol) Density, and Pl is the air Density (0.0012g/cm ³). Density can be calculated by measuring the mass of the solid in air and liquid.

Steps
1. Connect the Power Adapter (220V to DC6V × 2A).
2. Boot warm up to make Balance stable.
3. Density measurement components are installed according to measurement requirements.
4. The sample to be tested is weighed in air and the mass a is recorded.
5. Immerse the sample to be tested in an auxiliary liquid of known Density (e.g. water or ethanol) and weigh and record mass b.
6. Balance will automatically calculate and display the Density value according to the built-in formula, or manually calculate according to the formula P = [a/(a-b) ] (Po-Pl) + Pl.

• Please use the specified external AC Power Adapter (220V to DC6V × 2A) for power supply.
• The net weight of the instrument is 8000g, please pay attention when handling and placing.
• Preheat before use to ensure measurement stability.
• Density of auxiliary liquids such as water or ethanol is known and accurate for measurement.
• When immersing in liquid measurement, ensure that the sample is completely immersed and free of bubbles.
• The integration time can be adjusted as needed (2.5/5/10s adjustable) for the best stabilization effect.
• The stabilization time is usually ≤ 8s, please wait for the reading to stabilize before recording.
• Do not exceed Capacity range (0~ 120g).
• Keep the pan (φ 80mm) and measurement components clean and drying.
• Instrument dimensions are 366 * 230 * 340mm, please reserve enough operating space.
