Overview
FA2004M Density Electronic Balance is a High Accuracy Electronic Balance developed by HENGPING brand on the basis of FA/JA series. It integrates a unique electromagnetic force equilibrated Sensor and a high-performance monolithic microprocessor system. It is an accurate, stable, multi-functional and automated Electronic Balance that can meet the requirements of laboratory Density measurement and mass analysis. Equipped with a Density measurement component, the Balance can easily, directly and clearly accurately measure solid Density, and can realize Density determination and direct reading of liquids, solids and particulate matter (PM), effectively reducing the tediousness of manual conversion and human error.

Principle
The Density Balance is based on the Archimedes principle for solid Density measurement. Solid Density is directly derived from the measurement of the mass (a) of the solid in air and the mass (b) of the solid in an auxiliary liquid of known Density (such as water or ethanol), combined with the auxiliary liquid Density (Po) and the air Density (Pl, usually taken as 0.0012g/cm ³), using the formula P (Solid Density) = [a/(a-b) ] (Po-Pl) + Pl.

Steps
1. Density measurement kit for Balance.
2. The solid to be measured is weighed in air and mass (a) is recorded.
3. Immerse the solid to be tested in an auxiliary liquid of known Density (e.g. water or ethanol) and weigh and record mass (b).
4. Balance automatically calculates and directly displays the solid Density value according to the built-in formula P (Solid Density) = [a/(a-b) ] (Po-Pl) + Pl.
Notice
• Make sure Balance is equipped with the correct Density measurement components before use.
• Density of auxiliary fluids such as water or ethanol should be known.
• Density measurement is usually taken as 0.0012g/cm ³.
• Please use 220V External AC Power Adapter (DC6V × 2A) to power the instrument.
• The net weight of the instrument is 8000g, please pay attention to the stable placement.
• The integration time can be adjusted as needed (2.5/5/10s adjustable).
