Overview
HENGPING JA5003M Density Electronic Balance is a precision instrument developed based on High Accuracy Electromagnetic Force equilibrate Sensor and monolithic microprocessor system. It is an upgraded product that integrates accuracy, stability, multi-function and automation on the basis of FA/JA series. It is specially designed to meet the requirements of laboratory Density measurement and mass analysis. Just equip the Density measurement component to measure solid Density simply, directly and clearly, and can realize direct reading of liquid, solid and particulate matter (PM) Density, effectively reducing the tediousness of manual conversion and human error.

Principle
This Density Balance is based on the Archimedes principle for solid Density measurement. By measuring the mass (a) of the solid in air and its mass (b) in an auxiliary liquid of known Density (such as water or ethanol), combining the auxiliary liquid Density (Po) and the air Density (Pl, usually 0.0012g/cm ³), using the formula P (Solid Density) = [a/(a-b) ] * (Po-Pl) + Pl, the Density result is finally displayed directly by the instrument.

Steps
1. Connect the Power Adapter and turn on Balance preheating.
2. According to the measurement requirements, install the corresponding Density measurement components.
3. Place the sample to be tested in air, weigh, record or obtain mass a by Balance.
4. Immerse the sample in an auxiliary liquid of known Density (e.g. water or ethanol), weigh, record, or obtain mass b by Balance.
5. Balance automatically calculates and directly displays the Density value of the sample according to the built-in formula.
Notice
• Please use the original or designated 220V external AC Power Adapter (DC6V × 2A) for power supply.
• The net weight of the instrument is 8kg, and the table surface needs to be stable when placing.
• Select the appropriate integration time according to the measurement needs (2/4/8 s adjustable).
• Use auxiliary fluids of known exact Density (e.g. water or ethanol) for measurement.
• When immersing the sample, ensure complete immersion and no bubble adhesion.
• Keep the pan (φ 100mm) and measurement components clean and drying.
• The instrument stabilization time is usually ≤ 6 seconds, please wait until the reading is stable before recording.
• Applicable materials include plastic particles, rubber particles, Resin, metal products, graphite materials, plastic composites, Stone, Glass products, various alloys, chemical solutions, etc. Please ensure that the sample does not react with the auxiliary liquid.
