Principle
PosiTector 6000 FRS3 Coating thickness gauge uses magnetic Induction principle for measurement, suitable for nonmagnetic Coating thickness detection on ferrous metal substrates.
Applications
Coating thickness measurement of ferrous metal substrate nonmagnetic
Standards
ISO 2178、ISO 2360、ISO 2808、PrEN ISO 19840、ASTM B499、ASTM D1186、ASTM D1400、ASTM D7091、ASTM E376、ASTM G12、BS3900-C5、SSPC-PA2
Steps
1. Install 3 AAA alkaline batteries
2. Power on and select the system language (Chinese or English)
3. Probe contact with the measured surface for measurement
4. Touchscreen measurement data and graphics
5. Connect to a PC using a USB or Bluetooth interface and manage data through PosiSoft software
6. Save screen images (up to 100)
Notice
• Only for nonmagnetic coating measurements on ferrous metal substrates
• Make sure the battery is fully charged before use
• Keep Probe in vertical contact with the measured surface during measurement
• Regularly calibrate using Defelsko calibrating standards (STDS1, STDA1)
• Note that the Instrument Protection Rating is IP65, but it is still necessary to avoid extreme environments
• Data storage packets up to 1000, need to be properly managed
