Overview
The Defelsko PosiTector 6000 F90S1 Coating thickness gauge is a magnetic thickness gauge with a 90 ° miniature Probe for the measurement of nonmagnetic Coating thickness on ferrous metal substrates. The instrument has a very small measurement contact and High Accuracy. The Probe is wear resistant and the case is waterproof, dustproof and oil resistant. It is suitable for the measurement of Coating thickness in small parts, hard-to-contact areas or near edge areas.
Features

2. High Accuracy measurement, resolution up to 0.1μm
3. Probe has good abrasion resistance, durable
4. Shell Waterproof, Dustproof and Oil Resistant, Protection Rating IP65
5.2.8-Inch Color Touchscreen, Intuitive Operation
Fast measurement with more than 60 readings per minute
7. Data storage for 1000 Measured values
8. Support multiple statistical functions (measurement times, MAX Maximum, MIN Minimum, Average, Standard Deviation)
9. Support screen image saving, can save 100 images
10. Lightweight and portable, weight only 137g (without battery)
Principle
The Coating thickness gauge uses the principle of magnetic Induction to determine the Coating thickness by measuring the effect of nonmagnetic coatings on ferrous metal substrates on magnetic fields. The instrument Probe generates a magnetic field and calculates the Coating thickness value according to the change of the magnetic field.
Applications
Coating thickness measurement for small parts, Coating thickness measurement for hard-to-contact areas, Coating thickness measurement for close-to-edge areas
Standards
ISO 2178、ISO 2360、ISO 2808、PrEN ISO 19840、ASTM B499、ASTM D1186、ASTM D1400、ASTM D7091、ASTM E376、ASTM G12、BS3900-C5、SSPC-PA2
Steps
1. Install 3 AAA alkaline batteries
2. Power on and select the system language
3. Use STDS2 or STDA2 calibrated standards for calibrating
4. Place the 90 ° Micro Probe vertically on the coating surface to be tested
5. Read measurement results
6. Connect to the computer through the USB interface and use PosiSoft software to manage data
Notice
Only for nonmagnetic coating measurements on ferrous metal substrates
• Must be calibrated before measurement to ensure accuracy
• Probe abrasion to maintain measurement accuracy
• Pay attention to the correct installation of battery polarity
When storing measurement data, be careful not to exceed the capacity limit of 1000 values
• Save no more than 100 screen images
• Clean Probe and Instrument Surface After Use
