Overview
The American Defelsko PosiTector 6000 N90S3 Coating thickness gauge is an advanced PosiTector 6000 series paint film thickness measurement instrument. It uses the eddy Current thickness measurement principle and is suitable for the measurement of nonconductive layers on nonmagnetic metals such as aluminum and copper. The instrument has a Measurement range of 0 to 625 microns, can store 100,000 measurement data, supports real-time graphics, picture prompts and batch recording functions, and can connect to a PC via USB interface to transfer data.

Principle
The PosiTector 6000 N90S3 Coating thickness gauge uses the principle of eddy Current thickness measurement to generate high-frequency electromagnetic fields through the Probe. When the Probe is close to the surface of the measured metal, the eddy current effect generated in the metal will change the Impedance of the Probe. The instrument calculates the thickness of the nonconductive coating by detecting this Impedance change.

Steps
1. Install 3 AAA alkaline batteries
2. Power on and select the system language
3. Select the appropriate Measurement mode according to the tested material
4. Probe placed vertically on the measured surface for measurement
5. View real-time graphics and statistics through Touchscreen
6. Use USB or Bluetooth interface to connect to PC to transfer data
7. Data management with PosiSoft software suite

• Keep the Probe perpendicular to the measured surface during measurement
• Periodically calibrated to ensure Measurement accuracy
• Avoid prolonged use in humid or corrosive environments
• Use the matching calibrating standard STDA2 to calibrate
• Pay attention to the battery level and replace the battery in time
