Overview
The Defelsko PosiTector 6000 FNTS1 Coating thickness gauge is a dual-use thickness gauge dedicated to the measurement of thick coatings. It can automatically identify different types of substrates. It can measure the thickness of nonmagnetic coatings on magnetic substrates and nonconductive coatings on nonmagnetic substrates. Measurement range is 0~ 6000 microns, equipped with STDP1 calibration standard plate. The external Probe of this instrument is a wear-resistant Probe with a measurement diameter of 30mm.

Principle
The Coating thickness gauge uses magnetic Induction and eddy Current Measurement principles to automatically identify the substrate type. On ferrous metal substrates, the thickness of nonmagnetic coatings is measured by magnetic Induction principle; on non-ferrous metal substrates (such as aluminum and copper), the thickness of nonconductive coatings is measured by eddy Current principle.

Steps
1. Install 3 AAA alkaline batteries
2. Use STDP1 calibration standard plate to calibrate
3. Place the Probe on the surface of the coating to be tested
4. The instrument automatically recognizes the substrate type and begins measurement
5. View measurement results and statistics through Touchscreen
6. Connect to the computer using the USB port and manage data through the PosiSoft software suite

• Regularly calibrate with STDP1 calibration standard plate to ensure Measurement accuracy
• Probe from severe impact or abrasion
• Pay attention to the battery level and replace it in time to ensure normal use
• Limited data storage capacity, regularly export data to avoid loss
