Overview
The LEEB leeb342 Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge is an external Probe thickness gauge with a Display resolution of 0.01mm. It measures the surface temperature of objects from -10 to 60 degrees Celsius. It is suitable for thickness measurement of various materials that enable ultrasonic waves to propagate at a constant speed and reflect from the back. The instrument has Data storage and a built-in high-speed thermal printer to print data during the measurement process to ensure accurate and reliable measurement.
Features
1. Built-in high-speed thermal printer with printing function.
2. Test data can be stored.
3. The upper and lower tolerances can be set, and the test data exceeds the limit and automatically alarms.
4. Voltage prompt function, automatic shutdown.
5. Automatically calibrate zero points to correct system errors.
6. Speed of sound can be measured according to the known thickness.
7. Measurement unit Metric/Imperial optional.
8, for composite, unknown material known thickness, reverse measurement of accurate Speed of sound.
Principle
The principle of ultrasonic thickness measurement is similar to that of light wave measurement. The acoustic wave pulse emitted by Probe reaches the measured object and propagates in the material, and is reflected back to Probe when it arrives at the interface. The thickness of the measured material is determined by accurate measurement of the time of ultrasonic wave propagation in the material.
Applications
Metals (such as steel, cast iron, aluminum, copper, etc.), plastics, ceramics, Glass, fiberglass, plates, machined parts, pipes, Pressure Vessels, chemicals, metallurgy, shipbuilding, aerospace, petroleum
