Overview
American RDS #11 Mayer Rods model is 11 #1/4 ", made of 303 stainless steel, with wear and corrosion resistance. Mainly used in Coating, inks, paints and other industries to prepare films with specific wet film thickness, for detecting hiding power, film Gloss and preparatory samples. The Applicator rod is a wire-wound design with a wet film thickness of 25.1 microns.
Features
1. Made of 303 stainless steel, wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant
2.Accurate wet film thickness of 25.1 microns
3. Wire-wound design structure
4. The application width reaches 300mm
5. The width of the grip part is 50mm, which is comfortable to operate
Principle
The RDS 11 #1/4 "wide-wound Applicator rod uniformly Spreader Coatings, inks, or paints on the surface of the substrate through the wire-wound structure to form a wet-film of a specific thickness. When using, place the Coating in front of the rod, push the coating applicator evenly, and the wire-wound gap controls the Coating Flow rate to form a 25.1 micron thick wet-film layer.
Applications
Coatings, inks, paints
Steps
1. Spreader Substrate and Coatings
2. Coating evenly in front of Applicator rod
3. Handheld Applicator rod, push at steady speed
4. Ensure that the application width is within 300mm
5. Check wet-film uniformity after finishing Spreader
Notice
• Applicator rod clean and free of residue before use
• Maintain uniform pushing speed during operation
• Avoid bumping the wire-wound part to prevent deformation
• Clean and maintain in time after use
Store in a drying environment to prevent corrosion
