Overview
The YONGCHAOMT D10-YC008-L240mm Experimental Spreader Metering rod is a precision Spreader tool manufactured using an innovative process. It uses cold extrusion technology to process specific Linear dispersion on the surface of steel rods, replacing the traditional way of winding steel wires, for precise control of Spreader wet film thickness in experiments or small-scale production.
Features
1. Using cold extrusion processing technology, Linear dispersion is integrally formed on the surface of the steel rod, without the risk of loosening or breaking of the traditional winding steel wire.
2. Linear dispersion is smooth, easy to clean and easy to maintain.
3. The surface is plated with a hard chromium layer of high hardness (about 1300HV), with excellent Abrasion Resistance and long service life.
4. Made of 304 stainless steel, with a rod body diameter of 10mm and a total length of 240mm, the design is reasonable.

Principle
The Metering rod utilizes a specific height and spacing of concave-convex wavy Linear dispersion integrally formed on its surface by cold extrusion technology as a measurement structure. As the rod rolls on the surface of the substrate, excess paint is scraped off by these raised Linear dispersion, and the amount of paint left on the substrate is determined by the volume of the groove, thus precisely controlling the film thickness of the wet-film.

Steps
1. Pour or apply the liquid (e.g. paint, inks) to be Spreader at one end of the substrate.
2. Linear dispersion end of the Metering rod is placed behind the liquid to ensure that the rod body is in complete contact with the surface of the substrate.
3. Use uniform and stable force and speed to pull or push the Metering rod uniformly in one direction.
4. After the Spreader is completed, clean the surface of the Metering rod with a suitable solvent in time, and store it properly after drying.
Notice
• Before use, check whether the Linear dispersion on the surface of the Metering rod is complete, clean, and free from damage or blockage.
• The force and speed should be kept uniform during operation to ensure the stability of Spreader Film thickness.
• Spreader should be thoroughly cleaned immediately after completion to prevent the residue from drying up and clogging the Linear dispersion groove.
• When cleaning, it is recommended to use a soft cloth and a suitable solvent to avoid scratching the chrome surface with hard objects.
• When storing, avoid collision or friction with Miscellaneous hard objects. It is recommended to use a protective cover or a special Encasement.
