Overview
YONGCHAOMT D10-YC008-L400mm Experimental Spreader Metering rod is a Spreader tool manufactured using an innovative process. It processes a specific wavy Linear dispersion on the surface of 304 stainless steel rod by precision die cold extrusion technology, replacing the traditional way of winding steel wire, achieving a wire-free and easy-to-clean Spreader effect. The surface of the rod body is plated with a high-hardness hard chrome layer, which significantly improves Abrasion Resistance and service life. This model is a long bar with a total length of 400mm, an effective Spreader width of 310mm, and a wet film thickness of 8μm.

Principle
The working principle of the Spreader Metering rod is to use a specific concave-convex wavy Linear dispersion precisely machined on its surface by cold extrusion technology. When the rod body rolls on the Spreader substrate, these Linear dispersion structures precisely control and transfer the coating, resulting in a uniform wet-film with a uniform film thickness on the substrate surface. Its function is the same as that of the conventional steel wire wound bar, but the structure is more stable and the surface is smoother.

Steps
1. According to the required wet film thickness, refer to the model selection table to select the appropriate Metering rod model.
2. Ensure that the surface of Metering rod and substrate to be Spreader is clean and drying.
3. Place an appropriate amount of paint on one end of the substrate.
4. Hold both ends of the Metering rod (hold the width area), and roll the rod body smoothly over the paint at a uniform speed and pressure to complete the Spreader.
5. Thoroughly clean the surface of the Metering rod with a suitable solvent immediately after use and store it properly.

• Before use, please confirm whether the wet film thickness corresponding to the model meets the experimental requirements.
• Maintain uniform speed and steady pressure during operation to ensure uniform film.
• It should be cleaned immediately after use to avoid the paint drying up in the Linear dispersion groove, which will affect the effect and accuracy of the next use.
• Use a soft cloth or brush when cleaning to avoid scratching the chrome coating on the surface with hard objects.
• Please avoid bumping when storing and keep drying to prevent rust or surface damage.
