Overview
YONGCHAOMT D10-YC012-L400mm Experimental Spreader Metering rod is a Spreader tool manufactured by an innovative process. It uses cold extrusion technology to process precision wavy Linear dispersion on the surface of the steel rod, replacing the traditional wire-wound method, effectively solving the problem of easy loosening and difficult cleaning of the steel wire, and achieving a thinner Spreader effect. The rod length is 400mm, the effective film width is 310mm, and the surface is plated with high hardness hard chrome, which significantly improves Abrasion Resistance and service life.
Features
1. Using cold extrusion processing technology, Linear dispersion is integrally formed on the surface of the steel rod, without wire-wound, and the risk of loosening or breaking of the steel wire is completely eliminated.
2. Linear dispersion on the surface is smooth and smooth, easy to clean thoroughly and easy to maintain.
3. The surface is plated with hard chromium with hardness up to 1300HV, with excellent Abrasion Resistance and long service life.
4. Ultra-thin Film Spreader can be realized to meet the needs of High Accuracy Experiments.
5. The main body is made of 304 stainless steel, which is sturdy in structure and resistant to corrosion.
Principle
The Spreader Metering rod is used to transfer Basis Weight and Spreader liquids through its precision-machined concave-convex wavy Linear dispersion on the surface. As the rod rolls on the surface of the substrate, the groove holds and carries the Basis Weight coating, and the raised part controls the wet film thickness, resulting in a uniform and accurate wet-film coating on the substrate. Its Working Principle is the same as the traditional wide-wound drawdown bar, but it relies on the integrally formed Linear dispersion structure for more stable and reliable performance.
Applications
Spreaders for laboratory coatings, inks performance testing, Adhesive film prepatives, Functional coatings development, paper surface preparation, film materials research
Steps
1. Select the appropriate bar type according to the desired wet film thickness (e.g. 12 μm).
2. Place an appropriate amount of the paint to be tested on one end of the substrate.
3. Hold the handles at both ends of the bar (with a total hand width of 90mm), and pull the bar smoothly from the paint to the other end at a uniform speed and pressure.
4. After Spreader is completed, clean the bar surface with a suitable solvent in time.
Notice
* Make sure the bar type matches the desired wet film thickness before use.
* Maintain uniform speed and stability during operation to ensure uniform film.
* Wash thoroughly immediately after use to prevent the paint from drying up and clogging the surface Linear dispersion.
* Use a soft cloth and suitable solvent when cleaning to avoid scratching the chrome surface with hard objects.
* Store in a drying clean place to avoid bumping to maintain its precision structure.
