Overview
YONGCHAOMT D10-YC080-L400mm Experimental Spreader Metering rod is a precision Spreader tool made using cold extrusion processing technology. It replaces the traditional winding steel wire by machining the concave and convex wavy Linear dispersion on the surface of the steel rod, achieving a wire-free, easy-to-clean Spreader effect, and has high Abrasion Resistance and long service life.
Features
1. Using cold extrusion processing technology, the surface of the rod body forms a precise concave-convex wavy Linear dispersion, which replaces the traditional winding steel wire and eliminates the problem of loose or broken steel wire.
2. Linear dispersion on the surface is smooth and smooth, easy to clean thoroughly.
3. The surface is plated with hard chromium with hardness up to 1300HV, which greatly improves Abrasion Resistance and service life.
4. Made of 304 stainless steel, the rod body is sturdy and durable.
Principle
The Metering rod utilizes the precise concave-convex wavy Linear dispersion formed on its surface by cold extrusion technology to control and scrape off excess paint during the Spreader process, resulting in a uniform, Film thickness accurate wet-film coating on the substrate.
Applications
Spreader, paint development, quality control

Steps
1. Select the appropriate Metering rod model according to the desired wet film thickness (e.g. 80μm).
2. Place the paint on the substrate at the front end of the area to be Spreader.
3. Hold both ends of the Metering rod (45mm in hand width), and scrape the paint on the surface of the substrate at a constant speed and appropriate pressure.
4. After the Spreader is completed, use a suitable solvent to clean the surface of the Metering rod in time.
Notice
• Please confirm the model according to the required wet film thickness against the model selection table before use.
• The effective film width of this product is 310mm and the total length is 400mm.
• When operating the Spreader, make sure to hold both ends of the rod body (hand holding area) and keep moving smoothly at a uniform speed.
• Wash thoroughly immediately after use to maintain Spreader accuracy and extend service life.
• Avoid using sharp or hard objects to scratch the surface of the rod body to prevent damage to the chrome plating layer.
• Please note that models with a wet film thickness of 80μm are formed with a rod diameter of 10mm.
