Overview
The JFL JFL-B45 ceramic glossmeter is a gloss measurement instrument with a projection angle of 45 degrees. The Display range is 0.0-199 Gs, and the measurement window is 1.5x3mm oval measurement port. The instrument is produced according to the national standard JJG696, and the measurement is stable. It is widely used in ceramics, Plastic film and other fields. It is small in size and can work with a AA battery.
Features
1.45 degree projection angle design
2. Display range 0.0-199 Gs
3. Oval measurement window (1.5x3mm)
4. Comply with the national standard JJG696 standard
5. Stability measurement
6. Compact and portable
7. Powered by AA battery
Principle
The glossmeter projects rays of light to the measured surface at a 45 degree angle, measures the Glossiness value of the reflected light, and displays the measurement results in Gs.
Applications
Plastic films, ceramics, enamels, lacquerware
Standards
JJG696、ASTM-C346、ASTM-D2457、GB8807、GB/T3295
Steps
1. Press the switch, place the instrument on the Black Glass standard board, and swirl/spin the adjustment knob to make the displayed value the same as the standard board nominal value
2. Put it on the white ceramic standard board, and the error between the displayed value and the nominal value of the standard board should not be greater than +/- 1.2 Gloss unit.
3. When the error exceeds the difference, it needs to be re-calibrated
4. After calibrating, the sample can be measured, and the overflow "1" will be displayed when the measured value exceeds 199.9 Gloss unit.
Notice
• Standard plate calibrated before measurement
Dirty standard plates can lead to measurement errors
• An overflow prompt will be displayed when the measured value exceeds 199.9 Gs
• Need to re-calibrate when the error exceeds +/- 1.2GU
