Overview
Haibao LX-AO-2 Shore Shore Durometer is an AO type Shore Shore Durometer produced by HBO. Measurement range is 10-90HAO. It is suitable for measuring the Hardness of vulcanized rubber and thermal plasticity rubber and other material products with low Hardness. The product is designed and produced according to national standards GB/T531.1, international standards ISO7619-1 and JJF 1312. It has stable and fast measurement, double-pointer design, and can be purchased as a test bench to improve Stability and experimental convenience.
Features
1. Measurement range 10-90HAO, suitable for low Hardness material inspection
2. Dual pointer design, including tracking pointer and peak pointer
3. Stable and fast measurement
4. Can be purchased separately Test Bench to Improve Stability
5. Meet a number of international and national standards
Principle
The AO Shore Durometer reads the Hardness value at a specified time by pressing the pin vertically into the surface of the specimen. The pressure at the end of the pin is related to the Hardness reading, and the formula is F = 550 + 75HAO (mN), where HAO is the Hardness reading of the Shore AO hardness gauge.
Standards
National standard GB/T 531.1-2008 "vulcanized rubber or thermal plasticity rubber press-in Hardness test method, Part 1: Shore Shore Durometer method (Shore Hardness) ", international standard ISO7619-1:2004 "vulcanized rubber or thermal plasticity rubber press-in Hardness test method, Part 1: Shore Shore Durometer method (Shore Hardness) ", JJF 1312-2011 "AO type Shore Shore Durometer calibrated specification"
Steps
1. Place the test specimen on a firm plane, hold the hardness gauge, and keep the crimp at least 12mm away from the edge of the test block
2. Press the pressure foot smoothly on the sample without vibration, keep the pressure foot parallel to the surface of the sample, and press the pressure needle vertically into the sample
3. Readings at specified time: 3 seconds for Vulcanized Rubber or Unknown Type Rubber, 15 seconds for Hot Rubber & Plastics
4. Hardness measurement 5 times at different positions at least 6mm apart from the specimen, taking the average value
5. The indication reading is subject to the peak pointer indication value
Notice
• When the A-type hardness gauge indication is lower than 20HA, it is recommended to use the AO-type Shore Shore Durometer
• The pressing needle is at least 12mm away from the edge of the test block
• The pressure foot needs to be pressed smoothly on the sample without any vibration
• Keep the pressure foot parallel to the specimen surface
• Apply enough force to bring the pressure foot into close contact with the specimen
• Can be tested by hand-held test or supporting test bench
• If Miscellaneous specimen time is used, it should be stated in the test report
