Principle
The VF2087 Ford viscosity cup determines the viscosity of a liquid by measuring the time it takes for a specific volume of liquid to flow out of the standard outlet. According to the ASTM D1200 standard, at 25 +/- 0.2 ° C Ambient Temperature, the time for the liquid to completely flow out of the cup is recorded, which is proportional to the liquid viscosity.

Steps
1. Dip the Ford viscosity cup into the liquid to be tested
2. Ensure Ambient Temperature is maintained at 25 +/- 0.2 ℃
3. Lift Ford viscosity cup and start timing
4. Record the time for the liquid to completely flow out of the outlet
5. Calculate the liquid viscosity value based on the outflow time
