Principle
The glossmeter measures the mirrored Glossiness of the material surface at a 60 ° projection angle, detects the intensity of reflected light using the principle of Optical inspection, and converts it into a Gloss unit (GU) for fast and accurate surface Gloss assessment.
Applications
Surface mirror gloss measurement of paints, coatings, inks, paints, wood products, marble, granite, vitrified polished tiles, ceramic tiles, plastics, paper and other Non-metallic materials
Standards
ISO-2813、ASTM-C584、ASTM-D523、DIN-67530、ASTM-D2457、JND-A60、JND-P60、GB 9754、GB 9966、GB 8807
Steps
1. Turn on the instrument and select Measurement mode (Auto, Manual, Single or Average).
2. Align the measurement port with the surface of the measured material.
3. Start the measurement, the instrument completes the data collection in 0.4 seconds.
4. View or store measurement data.
5. Optionally connect the micro printer to output data.
Notice
• Ensure that the measurement surface is clean and free of contamination.
Calibration plate is used regularly to calibrate the instrument.
• Pay attention to the low battery prompt and replace the battery in time.
• Process data in a timely manner when the stored data is full.
Avoid use in bright light or extreme environments.
