Overview
PRBFXS-D is a thickness gauge Probe from the Defelsko brand for PosiTector mainframes. The Probe uses the magnetic Induction Measurement principle with a Measurement range of 0 to 1500 μm, with an error range of +/- 1% and a resolution of 0.1 μm. The Probe is 16mm in size and comes with a calibrated certificate for nonconductive Coating thickness measurement on ferrous substrates (steel and cast iron).

Principle
The PRBFXS-D Probe works based on the principle of magnetic Induction. Coating thickness is calculated by measuring the change in Magnetic flux when the Probe contacts a nonconductive coating on an iron substrate. The Probe generates a magnetic field, and the Magnetic field strength varies with the Coating thickness. By detecting this change, the Coating thickness can be accurately measured.

Steps
1. Connect the PRBFXS-D Probe to a compatible PosiTector host
2. Turn on the host power
3. Place the Probe vertically on the surface of the coating to be tested
4. Maintain stable contact and read the thickness value displayed by the host
5. Record measurement results
6. Turn off the host power after use

• Only for nonconductive coating measurements on ferrous substrates (steel and cast iron)
• Probe in vertical contact with the surface during measurement
• Probe clean to avoid contamination affecting Measurement accuracy
• Use only with compatible PosiTector hosts
