Overview
The Defelsko PRBF45S-D is a split 45 ° miniature thickness gauge Probe designed for the measurement of Coating thickness in small parts, hard-to-reach areas or near edges. The Probe has a minimal measurement tip and excellent film Measurement accuracy for nonmagnetic Coating thickness measurement on ferrous substrates.
Features
1. 45 ° Micro Probe design for easy measurement of small parts and hard-to-reach areas
2. Smallest measurement tip for excellent film Measurement accuracy
3. split design, can be used with PosiTector host
4. Measurement range 0~ 45 mils/0~ 1150 μm
5. High Accuracy measurement with +/- 1% error
6. Equipped with calibrated certificate to ensure measurement accuracy
Principle
The Probe works on the principle of magnetic Induction by measuring the thickness of nonmagnetic coatings on ferrous substrates. When the Probe touches the coating surface, the magnetic Induction signal changes with the Coating thickness, and the instrument calculates the Coating thickness value by analyzing these signal changes.
Applications
Small part measurement, hard-to-contact area measurement, edge area measurement, iron substrate Coating thickness detection
Standards
Equipped with calibrated certificate
Steps
1. Connect the Probe to a compatible PosiTector host
2. Align the Probe at a 45 ° angle to the surface to be tested
3. Keep the Probe in stable contact with the surface
4. Read the thickness Measured value displayed by the host
5. Record or store measurement data as needed
Notice
Only for nonmagnetic coating measurements on ferrous substrates
• Make sure the Probe is properly connected to the host before measurement
• Probe measurement surface clean to avoid contamination affecting accuracy
• Avoid Severe Impact or Drop of Probe When Using
Periodically calibrated to ensure measurement accuracy
