Overview
The Defelsko PRBF90S-D is a thickness gauge Probe, a 90 ° miniature Probe of the F90S model, designed for the measurement of nonconductive Coating thickness on ferrous substrates. The Probe is suitable for measurement of low headroom areas and small parts. High Accuracy and good thin film measurement performance.
Features
1. 90 ° right angle design for low headroom measurement
2. Minimum measurement tip for easy access to small parts and hard-to-reach areas
3. High Accuracy film measurement, error range +/- 1%
4. Removable design for easy maintenance and replacement
5. Compatible with PosiTector host, strong adaptability
Principle
The Probe works based on the principle of magnetic Induction by measuring the nonconductive Coating thickness on ferrous substrates such as steel and cast iron. The Probe emits magnetic fields and calculates the Coating thickness based on changes in the magnetic properties of the substrate and coating, ensuring accurate measurement.
Applications
Industrial coatings testing, automotive manufacturing, ship maintenance, building structures, small parts measurement
Standards
Calibrated to relevant industry standards
Steps
1. Connect the Probe to a compatible PosiTector host
2. Turn on the host power and select the corresponding Measurement mode
3. Align the Probe tip vertically with the tested surface
4. Stable Press Probe for measurement
5. Read and record the thickness data on the display
6. Clean Probes After Use and Store Properly
Notice
• Ensure that the Probe is compatible with the host to avoid mismatch use
• Keep Probe vertical during measurement to avoid tilt affecting accuracy
• Regularly calibrate Probe to maintain measurement accuracy
• Probe contact with sharp objects to prevent damage to the measurement tip
Store in a drying environment to prevent moisture
