Overview
Defelsko PRBFKS-D is a thickness gauge Probe, part of the FKS wide range cable Probe series, suitable for nonconductive Coating thickness measurement on ferrous substrates. The Probe uses magnetic Induction principle, Measurement range up to 0~ 13mm, High Accuracy and resolution, designed for thick coatings such as epoxy resin, rubber, cement and other applications.
Features
1. Wide range measurement capability, covering 0~ 13mm thickness.
2. Adopt the principle of magnetic Induction to ensure High Accuracy measurement.
3. Probe design for thick coating applications such as epoxy resin and rubber.
4. Provide calibrated certificate to ensure measurement Reliability.
5. Adapted to PosiTector host, strong compatibility.
Principle
The Probe works on the principle of magnetic Induction and measures Coating thickness by detecting the effect of a nonconductive coating on a ferrous substrate on a magnetic field. The Probe generates a magnetic field that changes in proportion to the Coating thickness when close to the coating surface, thus calculating the exact thickness value.
Applications
Thick coating measurement, epoxy resin coatings, rubber coatings, cement coatings, expansion fire-proof coatings
Standards
Provide calibrated certificate
Steps
1. Connect the Probe to a compatible PosiTector host.
2. Place the Probe vertically on the surface of the coating to be tested.
3. Start the measurement to ensure that the Probe is in stable contact with the surface.
4. Read the thickness value displayed by the host.
5, as needed, repeability measurement to obtain an average.
Notice
• Make sure the Probe is placed perpendicular to the coating surface to avoid measurement errors.
• Only for nonconductive coating measurements on ferrous substrates.
• Avoid use in extreme temperatures or humid environments to protect Probe.
• Regularly calibrate Probes to ensure Measurement accuracy.
• Check that Probe cables and connections are in good condition before use.
