Overview
Defelsko PRBNS is a thickness gauge Probe, specially designed for PosiTector host, suitable for Coating thickness measurement of various substrates. The products include detachable built-in Probe, split conventional Probe, miniature Probe, wide range probe and other types, covering iron, non-iron and all metal substrates. Measurement range and high accuracy.
Features
1. Removable built-in Probe, suitable for one-handed operation; 2. Split Probe sealing waterproof, suitable for underwater measurement; 3. Miniature Probe design, suitable for small parts and hard-to-contact areas; 4. Wide range Probe can measure thick coatings such as epoxy resin, rubber, etc.; 5. Xtreme series Probe wear-resistant and high temperature, suitable for rough or hot surfaces; 6. Automatic identification of substrate type, easy to operate; 7. High accuracy, small error range, resolution up to 0.1 μm.
Principle
Probe uses the eddy Current principle for measurement, and calculates the Coating thickness by sensing the electromagnetic properties of the substrate. For composite coating systems, such as FNDS Probe, the magnetic Induction and eddy current principles are combined to measure paints and zinc layer thickness simultaneously, and automatically calculate the display.
Applications
Coating thickness measurement, industrial inspection, quality control, underwater measurement, rough surface measurement, small part measurement, thick coating applications such as epoxy resin, rubber, cement, expansion fire-proof coatings, hull coatings.
Standards
Calibrated certificate Yes
Steps
1. Select the Probe model suitable for the substrate; 2. Connect the Probe to the PosiTector host; 3. Calibrate the Probe (if required); 4. Contact the Probe to the measurement surface; 5. Read and record thickness data; 6. For scan mode, quickly move the Probe for continuous measurement.
Notice
• Ensure that the Probe is compatible with the host, if the serial number is greater than 700000; • Calibrate before measurement to improve accuracy; • Avoid using non-waterproof Probes in extreme temperatures or humid environments; • For miniature Probes, pay attention to the measurement area size and substrate thickness requirements; • When using a large range of Probes, check the minimum surface area and substrate thickness; • Regularly check the Probe abrasion and replace if necessary.
