Overview
The Defelsko PRBNAS-D is a thickness gauge Probe, model 6000 NAS Cabled Probe, for nonconductive Coating thickness measurement on non-ferrous metal substrates such as aluminum, copper, titanium, etc. The Probe uses the eddy Current Measurement principle and has a High Accuracy and Waterproof design for one-handed operation.
Features
1. Adopt split conventional Probe design, constant pressure and completely waterproof, suitable for underwater measurement.
2. Measurement range covering 0~ 25 mils or 0~ 625 μm, to meet a variety of application requirements.
3. High accuracy, error range of +/- 1%, resolution of 0.1μm.
4. The Probe is 16mm in size, making it easy to operate and carry.
5. Adapt to PosiTector host and provide calibrated certificate.
Principle
The Probe works based on the principle of eddy Current. The high-frequency electromagnetic field generated by the Probe induces eddy current in a non-ferrous metal substrate, and measures Coating thickness according to eddy current changes. Accuracy is calculated by combining fixed value and reading percentage.
Applications
Coating thickness measurement, industrial quality control, underwater measurement on nonconductive metal substrates
Standards
Provide calibrated certificate
Steps
1. Connect the Probe to the adapted PosiTector host.
2. Turn on the power supply of the host to ensure that the Probe is correctly identified.
3. Place the Probe vertically on the surface to be tested to maintain a stable pressure.
4. Read the thickness value displayed by the host.
5. Clean Probes after use and store them properly.
Notice
• Ensure that the Probe is compatible with the PosiTector host.
• Keep the Probe perpendicular to the surface during measurement and avoid tilting.
• Avoid use in extreme temperatures or corrosion environments.
• Probe abrasion is checked regularly and calibrated if necessary.
• Waterproof design is suitable for underwater use, but it needs to be dried after use.
