Overview
The Defelsko PRBNKS-D is a thickness gauge Probe of the NKS model designed for non-ferrous metal substrates. The Probe uses a split wide range cable structure for the measurement of thick coatings such as epoxy resins, rubber, cement and expansion fire-proof coatings. Measurement range, reliable accuracy, adaptable to PosiTector host, calibrated certificate to ensure measurement accuracy.
Features
1. Designed for non-ferrous metal substrates (e.g. aluminum, copper, titanium)
2. Wide range measurement capability, covering 0~ 500 mils or 0~ 13mm
3. Probe with split cable for easy operation and maintenance
4. High accuracy, error range of +/- 3%
5. Provide calibrated certificate to ensure measurement Reliability
6. Suitable for PosiTector series host, strong compatibility
Principle
The Probe is based on the eddy current Measurement principle by sensing changes in the nonconductive Coating thickness on a nonferrous metal substrate. When the Probe contacts the coating surface, an eddy current effect is generated. The instrument calculates the Coating thickness according to the eddy current change and displays the result in high resolution.
Applications
Epoxy resin coating measurement, rubber coating measurement, cement coating measurement, expansion fire-proof coatings measurement
Standards
Calibrated certificate
Steps
1. Connect the Probe to a compatible PosiTector host
2. Turn on the host power supply to ensure that the Probe is correctly identified
3. Place the Probe vertically on the coating surface of a non-ferrous metal substrate
4. Press Probe stably to read the displayed thickness value
5. Record measurement results and make multi-point measurements if necessary to obtain average values
6. Clean Probes After Use and Store Properly
Notice
- Only suitable for non-ferrous metal substrates such as aluminum, copper, titanium
- Make sure the Probe is in vertical contact with the surface during measurement and avoid tilting
- Avoid use in extreme temperatures or Humidity environments to prevent accuracy
- Regularly inspect Probe cables and connections to prevent damage
- Confirm host compatibility before use, it is recommended to refer to the list of compatible models
- Probe drying during storage to avoid Physical Impact
