Overview
The Defelsko PRBFNS Thickness Gauge Probe is a professional device for Coating thickness measurement with a removable built-in Probe design for one-handed operation. Based on the principle of magnetic Induction and eddy Current, the Probe enables accurate measurement of nonconductive Coating thickness on ferrous and non-ferrous metal substrates. Measurement range is 0~ 1500 μm, error range is +/- 1%, and resolution is up to 0.1 μm.

Principle
The Probe works based on magnetic Induction and eddy Current principles. Coating thickness measurement is performed on ferrous substrates such as steel and cast iron, and on non-ferrous metal substrates such as aluminium, copper, titanium. The Probe automatically identifies substrate types without manual switching, ensuring fast and accurate measurements.

Steps
1. Connect the Probe to a compatible PosiTector host
2. Turn on the power supply of the host to ensure that the Probe identification is normal.
3. Place the Probe vertically on the surface of the coating to be tested
4. Read the thickness value after stable contact
5. Record or store measurement data
6. Clean Probes After Use and Store Properly

• Probe vertical and stable contact surface during measurement
• Avoid use in extreme temperatures or Humidity environments
• Periodically calibrated for Measurement accuracy
• Probe cleaned after use to prevent coating residue from affecting accuracy
• Protect Probes from being hit or squeezed when storing
