Overview
The Defelsko PRBFNRS-D is a split 90 ° conventional thickness gauge Probe for measurement in low headroom areas. The Probe features a stainless steel sealing design, is completely waterproof and suitable for underwater measurement. Measurement range is 0 to 60 mils or 0 to 1500 μm, accuracy is +/- (0.05 mils + 1%) 0 to 2 mils and +/- (0.1 mils + 1%) > 2 mils (or +/- (1 μm + 1%) 0 to 50 μm and +/- (2 μm + 1%) > 50 μm).
Features
1. Removable built-in Probe design for easy maintenance and replacement
2. Stainless steel sealing structure, completely waterproof, suitable for underwater environment
3.90 ° Right Angle Probe for low headroom measurement
4. Pressure Constant Design to Ensure Measurement Stability
5. High Accuracy measurement, small error range, resolution up to 0.1μm
Principle
The Probe works based on the principles of magnetic Induction and eddy Current. Magnetic Induction is used for nonmagnetic Coating thickness measurement on ferrous substrates such as steel, and eddy Current is used for nonconductive Coating thickness measurement on non-ferrous metal substrates such as aluminum, copper. The Probe automatically recognizes the substrate type and calculates the accuracy with a fixed value plus a reading percentage.
Applications
Industrial coatings measurement, ship maintenance, building structure inspection, underwater facility evaluation, automotive manufacturing, aerospace
Standards
Calibrated certificate
Steps
1. Connect the Probe to the PosiTector host
2. Place the Probe vertically on the surface to be tested
3. Start measurement to ensure constant pressure
4. Read the thickness data on the display
5. Probe type repeability measurement or replacement as required
Notice
• Ensure that the Probe is compatible with the host (suitable for PosiTector series)
• Probe calibrated before measurement for accuracy
• Avoid long-term use in extreme temperatures or corrosion environments
• Probe surfaces cleaned to prevent measurement errors
• Check sealing when using underwater
