Overview
The DeFelsko PosiTector ® CMM IS concrete Humidity Meter is an in-situ probe for the measurement of relative humidity and temperature on concrete floors. It captures and displays measurements consistent with ASTM F2170 standards, using standard test methods to determine the relative humidity of concrete floors. The Probe is designed to connect wirelessly via Bluetooth to the PosiTector app or the PosiTector DPM premium model for easy data collection and reporting.
Features
Easy to use: Easily collect and report relative humidity measurements according to ASTM F2170; Probe works in place for up to three weeks without opening holes or removing lids for measurement; Combination casing and Probe design simplifies installation without consumables; Use ordinary button batteries.
2. Accurate and reliable: Quick Response accuracy Sensor provides accurate, repeatability readings; calibrate check function automatically determines whether Probe readings are within tolerance; calibrate certificate can be traced back to NIST; test and record on-site concrete moisture content according to ASTM F2170.
3. Durable and sturdy: Probe can be used with repeability; it has weatherproof properties and can withstand solvents, acids, oils, water and dust.
4. Powerful: Quick adaptation, reduced test time; blue LED indicator to confirm Probe power-on and broadcast status; includes free PosiTector mobile app for analyzing and reporting data.
5. Various reporting methods: Provide PosiTector App (iOS/Android) and PosiTector DPM Advanced two reporting methods, support data recording, blueprint overlay and automatic generation of professional PDF reports.
Principle
The PosiTector CMM IS concrete Humidity Meter uses its built-in Fast Response accuracy Sensor to measure relative humidity and temperature in situ in pre-drilled concrete test holes (according to ASTM F2170 standard). Probe transmits the collected data via Bluetooth wireless technology to the supporting PosiTector mobile app or PosiTector DPM Advanced host, enabling real-time display, recording and analysis of data.
Applications
Concrete floor moisture detection, building mass assessment, floor covering installation preparation
Steps
Drill holes in the concrete floor according to ASTM F2170.
2. Install the combination casing and Probe into the test hole.
3. Make sure the Probe is powered on (the blue LED indicator is on to indicate that it is broadcasting).
4. Connect the Probe to the PosiTector App or PosiTector DPM Advanced device via Bluetooth.
5. Read and record relative humidity and temperature data on the app or device.
6. Probe can be left in the hole for up to three weeks for continuous monitoring.
7. Use the extraction tool to remove the Probe.
8. Utilize software to generate professional reports containing the information required by ASTM F2170.
Notice
• Make sure the Probe battery is fully charged before use.
• When installing the Probe, ensure that the test hole is clean, drying, and meets ASTM F2170 requirements.
• Probe is a precision instrument, please avoid violent impact or contact with corrosive chemicals.
• Perform calibrated checks to ensure measurement accuracy is within tolerance.
• Bluetooth connection distance may be affected by environmental factors, please make sure the device is within the effective range.
When generating a report, please check the accuracy of all data and additional information (e.g. field pictures, notes).
