Overview
The DeFelsko PosiTector ® CMM IS concrete Humidity Meter is an in-situ probe for the measurement of relative humidity and temperature on concrete floors. It is designed to capture and report relative humidity data on concrete floors according to the ASTM F2170 standard test method, and can be wirelessly connected via Bluetooth with the PosiTector app or the PosiTector DPM advanced model for easy data collection and reporting.
Features
Simple operation: easy collection and reporting of RH measurements according to ASTM F2170; no need to open holes or remove the lid for measurement, Probe can work in place for up to three weeks; combination casing and Probe design to simplify installation, no consumables; use ordinary button battery.
2. Accurate measurement: Fast Response accuracy Sensor provides accurate, repeatability readings; calibrate check function automatically determines whether Probe readings are within tolerance; calibrate certificate can be traced back to NIST.
3. Rugged and durable: Probe is an intelligent Probe with repeatability; it has weatherproof properties and can resist solvents, acids, oils, water and dust.
4. Powerful: Quickly adapt to the environment and shorten the test time; blue LED lights confirm the power-on and broadcast status of the Probe; includes free PosiTector mobile app for data analytics and reporting.
5. Various reporting methods: Support data viewing, recording and generating professional PDF reports that meet ASTM F2170 requirements through PosiTector App (iOS/Android) or PosiTector DPM Advanced (included with professional suite).
Principle
The product directly measures the relative humidity and temperature inside the concrete by installing the intelligent in-situ Probe in the test hole of the concrete floor. The Probe wirelessly transmits data via Bluetooth to the connected PosiTector app or the PosiTector DPM advanced host, enabling in-situ, long-term monitoring and data recording of the moisture content of the concrete.
Applications
Test and record site moisture content of concrete and moisture detection of concrete floor according to ASTM F2170
Steps
1. Prepare components such as Probe and saturated salt solution according to the contents of the kit.
2. Use extraction tools, etc., drill holes in the concrete floor according to the specifications and install the combined casing and Probe.
3. Make sure the Probe battery is installed correctly, and the blue LED light is on to indicate power up and start broadcasting.
4. Connect the mobile device (install the PosiTector App) or the PosiTector DPM Advanced host to the Probe via Bluetooth.
5. View and record the relative humidity and temperature data of Probe measurement on the application or host.
6. Record date, time and location information for all measurement procedures as required by ASTM F2170.
7. Use an application or accompanying software such as PosiSoft Suite to analyze data and automatically generate a professional PDF report with the required information.
Notice
• Please ensure that the Probe battery (A-76/LR-44 button battery) is fully charged before use, and the nominal battery life is about 3 weeks.
• When installing Probe, ensure that the combination casing is well sealed to prevent the external environment from interfering with the measurement results.
• Before making measurements, it is recommended to calibrate Probe using the included calibrated inspection chamber and saturated salt solution.
• Probe is designed for use with repeatability, but attention should be paid to dustproof, waterproof, and avoid contact with highly corrosive substances to extend the service life.
Data measurement and reporting must adhere to the procedures and requirements specified in ASTM F2170.
When using a Bluetooth connection, ensure that the device is within effective communication range.
• Different kits (basic, complete, professional) contain different numbers of accessories, please choose the appropriate kit according to the actual test needs.
