Overview
HOBO U26-001 is a data logger for the measurement of dissolved oxygen concentration in water bodies, suitable for environments such as lakes, streams, rivers, estuaries and coastal waters. It uses RDO ® Basic Optical inspection dissolved oxygen Sensor technology, which is easy to maintain, accurate and reliable, and is suitable for aquatic biology, hydrological research and oceanographic research projects.
Features
1. Measurement accuracy is high, with an accuracy of +/- 0.2mg/L at 8mg/L.
2. Probe removable, replaceable, easy to maintain.
3. Optical inspection dissolved oxygen technology.
4. The supporting HOBOware software can correct the errors caused by pollution and provide the dissolved oxygen concentration and percentage concentration after salinity correction.
5. Data can be quickly downloaded via a USB dock such as BASE-U-4 or U-DTW-1.
Principle
The U26-001 data logger is based on RDO ® Basic Optical inspection dissolved oxygen sensor technology for measurement of dissolved oxygen concentration in water through Optical inspection. It also integrates a temperature sensor for monitoring Ambient Temperature, and its data logging function automatically and continuously collects dissolved oxygen and temperature data in an underwater environment.
Applications
Lakes, streams, rivers, estuaries, coastal waters, aquatic biological research, hydrological research, oceanographic research
Standards
CE certification
Steps
1. Before use, make the necessary salinity correction settings in the HOBOware software according to the salinity of the water body (for water bodies with large salinity changes, it is recommended to use it with the U24-002-C conductivity recorder).
2. Deploy the recorder in the target underwater environment with a maximum measurement depth of 100 meters.
3. Set the recording interval (range from 1 minute to 18 hours).
4. The recorder starts to automatically collect dissolved oxygen and temperature data.
5. After the data collection is completed, use a USB dock (such as BASE-U-4 or U-DTW-1) to connect the recorder to the computer and quickly download the data through the HOBOware software.
Notice
• When measuring dissolved oxygen in saline water, salinity adjustments must be made to ensure accuracy.
• In water with salinity < 2 ppt, the Salinometer can ensure typical accuracy; in water with large changes in salinity, it is recommended to use the U24-002-C conductivity recorder.
• Saturation dissolved oxygen and atmospheric pressure data can be used with U20-001-04 water level recorder.
• This recorder can only be used in an underwater environment.
• Optical inspection dissolved oxygen Sensor has a nominal service life of 6 months after initialization (can be extended to 7 months).
• Make sure to use within the Measurement range specified by the equipment specifications.
