Principle
The Infrared Thermometer measures the surface temperature of objects in a non-contact manner. Its Sensor receives the infrared radiation energy emitted by the target object (Response wavelength is 2 to 14 μm), converts it into an electrical signal, and displays the temperature value on the display screen after processing. Users can adjust the emissivity value to match the surface characteristics of different materials to improve measurement accuracy.
Applications
Industrial manufacturing, equipment maintenance, building inspection, scientific research experiments, quality control, environment monitoring
Standards
Calibrated to NIST
Steps
1. Turn on and select Measurement mode.
2. Use the button to activate the laser pointer to aim at the target area.
3. Select from the preset options or manually set the emissivity value according to the material under test.
4. Trigger the measurement and read the temperature value on the display.
5. Statistical scan mode can be used for continuous measurement and viewing statistics.
6. Readings can be recorded manually through the pause function, or limits can be set using HiLo alarms.
7. The measurement data can be transferred to a computer or mobile device via USB, WiFi or Bluetooth.
Notice
Make sure the laser pointer (Class 2, < 1mW) is not aimed at the human eye.
* Set the emissivity correctly according to the surface characteristics of the material to be measured before measurement to obtain an accurate reading.
* Pay attention to the temperature measurement range of the instrument (-70~ 380 ° C) and the object distance ratio (5.7:1), and measure within the effective distance.
* Avoid use in extreme environments (such as strong electromagnetic interference, high temperature and high humidity) to prevent affecting accuracy or damaging equipment.
Periodically calibrate with traceable NIST calibrated certificates to ensure measurement accuracy.
* Store properly in a protective holster after use to avoid severe impact.
Pay attention to the battery level and replace or charge it in time to ensure normal use.
