Overview
The PUSHEN PS 2540 automatic film applicator is a device for preparing high-mass, Repeatability coating samples. By automatically controlling the Spreader process, it effectively solves the problem of film irregularities caused by uneven speed and pressure of manual film, ensuring accurate measurement of coating characteristics such as scrub resistance, hiding power and Glossiness.
Features
1. Automatic Spreader ensures linear and smooth motion of the film applicator to ensure high result Repeatability.
2. The effective coating area is 400 * 280mm to meet the needs of larger samples.
3. The coating speed can be adjusted in the range of 10~ 100mm/s to adapt to different experimental requirements.
4. Built-in vacuum pump, provide 300 * 200mm Vacuum chuck area, fixed substrate.
5. Spreader Travel can be selected from 230mm or 285mm to flexibly respond to different application lengths.
Principle
The automatic film applicator drives the film applicator push rod through the motor to move linearly on the substrate at a set constant speed and pressure to complete the Spreader process. The adsorption force generated by its built-in vacuum pump fixes the substrate (such as test cardboard) on the material collection plate, ensuring that the substrate is flat and free of displacement during the Spreader process, resulting in a uniform and consistent coating.

Steps
Connect the device to a 220V 50Hz power supply.
2. Place the substrate to be Spreader (e.g. test cardboard) on the material collection tray and activate the Vacuum chuck function to secure it.
3. Select the appropriate coating rod and use the coating rod fixture to install it on the film applicator push rod.
4. Pour an appropriate amount of the sample to be tested (e.g. paint) on one end of the substrate.
According to the experimental requirements, set the required coating speed (10-100mm/s) and Travel (230mm or 285mm) on the equipment.
6. Start the device and the film applicator will automatically complete the Spreader process.
7. After the Spreader is completed, remove the sample for subsequent drying or testing.
Notice
Before use, please ensure that the power supply of the device is 220V 50Hz and grounded reliably.
• Regularly use the provided guide rail lubricating oil to maintain the equipment's motion guide rails to ensure smooth operation.
• Make sure the substrate is firmly chucked by Vacuum before Spreader to prevent displacement during Spreader.
• According to the coating rod specifications and experimental requirements, accurately set the coating speed to obtain the ideal film thickness.
• The total power consumption of the device is 350W, please do not overload the Power Supply socket.
• Do not place your hands or Miscellaneous items under moving parts during operation.
When cleaning the equipment, please disconnect the power supply and wipe it with a dry soft cloth.
