Overview
The SHG 50-750 Comb wet film thickness gauge is a precision measurement tool from the PUSHEN brand for wet film thickness measurement of new paints. Made of stainless steel, the product is durable, repeatable, and has five ranges to choose from, up to 950 μm. Measurement units are metric microns per Wet Film Comb.
Features
1. Precision stainless steel material, durable, repeatability
2. Measurement unit in metric micron for each Wet Film Comb
3. Available in five ranges, up to 950μm
4. Specification parameters: range 50~ 750μm, Division 25μm | 50μm, number of teeth 20, shape unilateral type
Principle
The Wet Film Comb is pressed vertically into the wet-film and removed, and the position between the shortest tooth infiltrated by the wet-film and the adjacent unwetted tooth is observed to determine the wet film thickness. The wet film thickness should be between the shortest tooth infiltrated by the wet-film and the adjacent unwetted tooth.
Standards
GB/T 13452.2、ISO 2808
Steps
1. Press the Wet Film Comb with a range similar to the estimated thickness of the paint film vertically into the wet-film
2. Remove the Wet Film Comb from the wet-film
3. Read the value between the shortest tooth infiltrated by wet-film and the adjacent tooth that is not infiltrated as the wet film thickness
Notice
• Wet Film Combs with a range similar to the estimated thickness of the paint film should be selected for measurement
• The Wet Film Comb must be pressed vertically into the wet-film
• The wet film thickness should be read between the shortest tooth infiltrated by the wet-film and the adjacent tooth that is not infiltrated
