Overview
The QTY-32 cylindrical Bending tester is a PUSHEN test instrument for bending Spreader metal substrates at a set radius to evaluate film ductility and adhesion under bending stress. The instrument measures coating resilience by simply bending the coating plate on a circular axis of known diameter and checking for coating damage.
Features
1. Made of anodic oxidation aluminum, the structure is sturdy and durable
2. Equipped with 12 stainless steel shaft rods, providing a variety of diameter options
3. Test plate with measurement width up to 50mm
4. Wide range of shaft rod diameters, including 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 12, 16, 20, 25, 32mm
5. Operation mode is easy to use
Principle
The instrument is based on the principle of cylindrical mandrel bending test, the coating plate is placed on the stainless steel shaft rod of a specific diameter, and the uniform force is bent to 180 degrees in 1-2 seconds. Miscellaneous damage phenomenon to evaluate the ductility and adhesion performance of coatings.
Standards
GB/T 6742-2007 Paints and varnishes bending test - cylindrical mandrel, ISO 1519-2011
Steps
1. Apply the paint to the metal substrate
2. Carefully film and dry to ensure good reproducibility
3. Test substrate to 180 ° with uniform force within 1-2 seconds
4. Starting from the maximum diameter shaft rod, decrease the diameter test until coating fracture is observed
Notice
• Bend the test plate evenly within 1-2 seconds during the test
• The test should start from the maximum diameter shaft rod and gradually reduce the diameter
• Carefully film and dry to ensure test reproducibility
• Watch for cracking, flaking or Miscellaneous damage to coatings
