The MTG-2 Miniature Three-Angle Glossiness Meter is a compact, lightweight and portable precision measuring instrument equipped with 20 °, 60 °, 85 ° and other standard Measurement Angles for accurate testing and stable performance. It is mainly used for surface gloss measurement in plastic, printing, metal, Pottery and porcelain, building materials, leather, paints and other industries.

Principle
The instrument irradiates the measured surface with a built-in LED Illuminant, receives reflected light at multiple standard angles such as 20 °, 60 °, 85 °, etc. Its highly stable Light spectrum Response is strictly matched with CIE V (lambda) Linear dispersion, thus enabling accurate measurement of surface gloss.

Steps
1. Boot preparation: Press the power button to turn it on.
2. Select mode: select basic measurement, sample measurement, statistical measurement or continuous measurement mode on the LCD screen.
3. Place the sample: place the instrument measurement port smoothly on the surface of the sample to be tested.
4. Start measurement: trigger measurement, the instrument will automatically carry out measurement at the selected angle.
5. Read the result: After the measurement is completed, the gloss value will be visually displayed on the screen, and it can be automatically judged whether it is qualified or not according to the preset upper and lower limits.
6. Data management: measurement data can be stored (up to 100 groups) and exported via USB, Bluetooth interface or SD card.
Notice
* Please make sure the instrument is fully charged before measurement.
* When measuring, the instrument measurement port should be smoothly and tightly fitted to the surface of the tested sample to avoid light leakage affecting the accuracy.
* Select the appropriate Measurement Angles (20 °/60 °/85 °) according to the gloss range of the tested sample.
* Keep the instrument and standard calibration plate clean to avoid scratches.
When not in use for a long time, it is recommended to remove the battery.
* The automatic shutdown function of the instrument can save power. If you need long-term measurement, please pay attention to using continuous measurement mode or wake up in time.
When exporting data, ensure that the connection is stable.
