Overview
The LANDTEK TM-1240 Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge (Enhanced) is a high-performance Portable measurement device using microprocessor technology for thickness measurement of various pipes, Pressure Vessels, plates and machined parts, supporting a variety of hard materials such as steel, aluminum, copper, plastic and other ultrasonic good conductor accurate measurement.
Features
1. Adopt high-performance, low-power microprocessor technology.
2. Bidirectional measurement function: Speed of sound can be measured thickness, thickness can be measured Speed of sound.
3. Automatically memorize material codes and sound velocity values.
4. With coupling status prompt function.
5. Support automatic shutdown and manual shutdown.
6. Use USB, RS-232C data cable output and PC for data collection.
7. Optional Bluetooth Bluetooth data output.
Principle
The thickness gauge is based on ultrasonic technology. Destructiveness measurement is achieved by transmitting ultrasonic signals to penetrate materials and receiving retracted waves. Speed of sound and echo time are used to calculate material thickness.
Applications
Pipes, Pressure Vessels, Sheets, Machined Parts, Hard Materials, Aluminum, Copper, Brass, Zinc, Polyethylene (PE), Polyvinyl chloride (PVC), Gray cast iron, Steel, Cast Steel, Glass, Ceramics, Plastics in Production Equipment
Steps
1. Turn on the power of the device.
2. Select Measurement mode (Known Speed of sound measurement thickness or Known thickness measurement Speed of sound).
3. Couple the Probe to the surface of the material under test.
4. Read the measurement results on the display screen.
5. Optional output data via USB, RS-232C or Bluetooth.
6. Manual or automatic shutdown after use.
Notice
Make sure the Probe is fully coupled to the surface of the material being tested.
* Ambient Temperature must be in the range of 0~ 40 ℃.
* Operating Relative Humidity should be below 85% RH.
* Powered by 4 AA batteries, pay attention to replace them in time.
* The measurement error is +/- (0.5% H + 0.1) mm, which needs to be adjusted according to the material characteristics.
* The lower limit of pipe measurement is determined by Probe, such as φ 15 * 2.0mm or φ 20 * 3.0mm.
