Overview
RDS 24# 3/8" Coating Bar is a wire-wound coating applicator designed to prepare a wet film thickness of 54.9 microns, with an effective coating width of 30 cm and a total length of 40 cm, including 5 cm hand grips at both ends. Made of 303 stainless steel, it is durable and resistant to wire breakage.
Features
1. Featuring a wire-wound design, it precisely controls the wet film thickness through the diameter of the steel wire.
2. Made of 303 stainless steel, it is sturdy, durable, and resistant to wire breakage.
3. With a coating width of up to 300 mm, it meets the requirements for large-area coating.
4. Both ends are designed with 50 mm hand-held sections for convenient operation.
Principle
The RDS wire-wound rod Coater controls the wet film thickness during coating by wrapping stainless steel rods with wires of specific diameters. As the coating material passes through the gap between the wires and the substrate, it forms a uniform coating layer.
Applications
Paint preparation, laboratory coating, quality testing, scientific research experiments
Steps
1. Choose a flat substrate surface.
2. Place the coating material at one end of the substrate.
3. Hold both ends of the wire rod and pull it at a uniform speed to apply the coating.
4. Clean the wire rod after completing the coating process.
Notice
• Avoid bumps or drops to keep precision instruments intact.
• Clean promptly after use to prevent paint residue.
• Store properly to avoid deformation of the steel wire.
• Regularly check the condition of the steel wire to ensure coating accuracy.
