Overview
China paint scraping rod set, model D10-YC012-L240mm (set), contains a 240mm long film wire-wound drawdown bar and a handle. bar diameter is 10mm, application width is 210mm, and each end has a 15mm hand-held part. The product is made of 304 stainless steel with chrome-plated surface and Hardness up to 1300HV, which has the characteristics of wear resistance and long life. It adopts cold extrusion process, which has the advantages of unbroken wire and easy cleaning. The outer Encasement is a hard plastic transparent tube with black soft rubber lid at both ends.
Features
1. Made of 304 stainless steel, chrome-plated surface, Hardness up to 1300HV, wear resistance and long life.
2. Adopt cold extrusion process, bar unbroken wire, easy to clean.
3. The set includes bar and handle for easy use.
4. Encasement is hard plastic transparent tube with soft rubber lid, easy to carry and store.
Principle
The Mayer Rods roll on the substrate through precision wires wound on its surface, and uniformly scrape fluid materials such as coatings and inks into a wet-film of a specific thickness. The wire diameter of the bar determines the wet film thickness of the Spreader.
Applications
Coatings, inks, paints, Gloss oil, chemical and other industries
Steps
1. Place the paint or inks sample to be tested on one end of a flat substrate (e.g. test cardboard, metal plate, etc.).
2. Place the Mayer Rods in front of the sample to ensure that the bar is in full contact with the substrate.
3. Holding the handle, pull the bar in the direction of the body at a uniform speed and appropriate pressure, so that the paint is scraped into a uniform wet-film.
4. According to the test requirements, the wet-film state can be observed immediately or the subsequent performance test can be carried out after drying.
Notice
• Before use, make sure the bar surface is clean, drying and free of residue.
• Spreaders need to maintain uniform speed and stability to avoid pauses in the middle to ensure uniform film.
• The bar should be thoroughly cleaned with a suitable solvent (e.g. corresponding thinners) immediately after use to prevent coating curing from clogging the seam.
• When cleaning, please use a soft cloth or a soft brush to avoid scratching with hard objects, so as not to damage the surface of the bar.
• When storing, put the bar in the original protective tube and place it in a drying environment.
