Overview
China paint film scraping rod set contains a 240mm long film wire-wound drawdown bar and a handle. The bar diameter is 10mm, the application width is 210mm, and there are 15mm hand-held parts at each end. The product is made of 304 stainless steel, with chrome plating on the surface, Hardness up to 1300HV, with wear resistance, long life, unbroken wire and easy cleaning. The outer Encasement is a hard plastic transparent tube with a black soft rubber cover.

Principle
Mayer Rods uses a uniform speed scraping bar of a specific specification by placing liquids such as coatings and inks on the substrate, and the precision lines on the bar control the thickness of the wet-film to form a uniform, thickness-controllable coating on the substrate.

Steps
1. Place the paint or inks to be tested on one end of the substrate.
2. Place the bar behind the liquid to ensure that it is in contact with the substrate.
3. Scrape the bar forward at a uniform speed and appropriate pressure to make the paint spread film formation.
4. After finishing scraping, clean the bar in time.
Notice
• Please check whether the bar is clean and free of damage before use.
• When scraping, maintain uniform speed and pressure stability to ensure uniform film thickness.
• The bar should be thoroughly cleaned with a suitable solvent immediately after use to prevent the paint from drying up and clogging the lines.
• Do not use hard objects to scratch the surface of the bar, so as not to damage the lines and affect the Spreader accuracy.
Store in a drying place to avoid bumping.
