YONGCHAOMT D10-YC200-L240mm (set) is a China XB Metering rod set that contains a 240mm long thin film wire-wound drawdown bar and a handle. bar is made of 304 stainless steel with chrome plating on the surface, Hardness up to 1300HV, excellent Abrasion Resistance and long life. The product is manufactured by cold extrusion process, with the advantages of continuous wire and easy cleaning. Encasement is a hard plastic transparent tube with a black soft rubber cover.

Principle
The Spreader Metering rod controls the wet film thickness through its surface precision wire-wound structure. When used, the paint is placed on the substrate and scraped uniformly with the Metering rod. The wire-wound gap on the rod body can accurately scrape off the excess paint, thereby forming a uniform and controllable wet-film coating on the substrate.

Steps
1. Place the material to be Spreader (e.g. paint, inks, etc.) on a flat substrate.
2. Install the Metering rod on the handle to ensure that it is firmly fixed.
3. Holding the handle, place the Metering rod at an angle (usually 45-60 degrees) at the front end of the material.
4. Apply uniform and stable pressure and push the Metering rod forward at a constant speed to scrape.
5. After the scraping is completed, clean the Metering rod in time, dry it and store it in the Encasement tube.
Notice
• Before use, check whether the surface of the Metering rod is clean and free of damage.
• Keep the force and speed uniform when scraping to ensure the same film thickness.
• Wash thoroughly with a suitable solvent immediately after use to prevent the paint from drying up and blocking the wire-wound gap.
• Please use a soft cloth or soft brush when cleaning to avoid scratching with hard objects to avoid damaging the chrome-plated surface.
• Please store in a drying place and cover the soft rubber covers at both ends of the Encasement tube to prevent dust pollution and physical collision.
