Overview
SHIBO QKL type initial drying anti-crack tester is a special equipment designed and manufactured according to the national standard GB9779-88, which is mainly used for the initial drying anti-crack test of architectural coatings and indoor and outdoor building putty under the specified wind speed conditions.
Features
1. Adopt axial flow fans and test wind tunnel structures to ensure that the wind speed is stably controlled within the range of 3 +/- 0.3m/s
2. Equipped with precision anemometer and Timer for accurate measurement and time control
3. Two specimens can be placed simultaneously for parallel testing to improve test efficiency
4. Timer delay range of 0.01 seconds to 99 hours and 99 minutes to meet different test requirements
Principle
A test plate rack parallel to the direction of air flow is set up in the wind tunnel. After starting the axial flow fan, the wind speed is controlled within the range of 3 +/- 0.3m/s through the air volume control device. The scraped test plate is placed on the test plate rack in the wind tunnel, and the drying control time is adjusted according to the product standard requirements. When the time reaches, it will automatically stop, and the surface of the test plate will be tested for crazing.
Applications
Architectural coatings, indoor and outdoor construction putty
Steps
1. Anemometer operation: install the battery, connect the power supply, and perform full and zero correction
2. Timer operation: preset the time according to the test requirements, set the countdown or positive timing mode
3. Test plate preparation: Spreader the main paint or putty according to the specified dosage and place it on the test plate rack in the wind tunnel immediately
4. Start test: turn on the power supply, start the axial fan, and start the Timer
5. Wind speed adjustment: insert the probe into the test hole, adjust the wind speed control knob to make the wind speed reach 3 +/- 0.3m/s
6. Result observation: After the timing is over, take out the test plate and visually measure the surface crazing
Notice
• Timer preset work must be completed before starting, and the preset button must not be changed without authorization after starting
• Anemometer needs to be accurately corrected for full and zero position before use
• When the probe is inserted into the test hole, keep the red dot aligned with the wind direction, and the insertion depth is generally the center of the test plate
• The test plate should be placed parallel to the direction of the airflow
• During the wind speed adjustment process, the anemometer pointer should be closely observed to ensure that the wind speed is within the specified range
