Overview
The RDS#30 Wire Wound Applicator is a coating rod with a film thickness of 68.6 micrometers, a rod length of 400 mm, and an effective coating width of 300 mm. According to purchase data from the Nanbeichao Mall, this model is widely used in industries such as paints, inks, and building materials, making it a best-selling product.
Features
1. Available in three diameters: 6.35mm, 9.5mm, and 12.7mm, with 9.5mm being the most commonly used.
2. Manufactured using a wire-winding production process.
3. Made of stainless steel for enhanced durability.
4. Designed with standard dimensions to meet the experimental requirements of a wide range of users.
Principle
The RDS wire rod Coater evenly applies a coating onto the substrate surface by rolling a stainless steel wire rod, forming a wet film of specified thickness. The wire winding structure of the rod precisely controls the coating thickness to 68.6 μm.
Applications
Coatings, inks, building materials, resins, pigment pastes, architectural coatings, plastic films, quality inspection agencies, adhesives.
Steps
1. Select a wire rod with the appropriate diameter.
2. Place the coating material at one end of the substrate.
3. Hold both ends of the wire rod and push it at a uniform speed for coating.
4. Complete the coating operation over a width of 300 mm.
Notice
• Ensure the surface of the wire rod is clean and free from contamination before use.
• Maintain a uniform speed during coating to ensure even film thickness.
• Clean and maintain the wire rod promptly after use.
• Select the appropriate wire rod diameter according to experimental requirements.
