Overview
RDS 3 #L1000φ 10 wire-wound Applicator rod is a wire-wound Metering rod provided by the RDS brand. RDS is a company in the United States with more than 80 years of experience in R & D and production of Spreader Metering rods. The product adopts the wire-wound process and is suitable for a variety of Spreader applications. It is simple, accurate, uniform and economical.
Features
1. From the professional coating rod brand RDS with more than 80 years of history.
2. Adopt the classic "Mayer" wire winding rod design, which is widely used and popular.
3. Wire winding rods can be disbonded and rewound, helping to save costs and reduce waste.
4. We offer more than 70 sizes of stainless steel wire and 15 different diameters of multi-stage stainless steel rods to meet diverse needs.
5. Accept customization, up to 12 feet in length, and can be quoted and produced according to specific needs.
Principle
The RDS wire-wound Applicator rod works based on the Mayer rod coating principle. The wire diameter of the wire wound rod determines the size of the cavity between the wire windings, which holds and Measurement Coatings during the Spreader process, thereby controlling the thickness of the coating. Coatings are transferred by relative movement between the rod body and the substrate to form a uniform wet-film.
Applications
Coating, window film, adhesive tape, release paper, photovoltaic film, wall covering material, special paper
Steps
1. According to the Spreader process requirements, select the appropriate Metering rod model and specification.
2. Install the Metering rod correctly on the Spreader device to ensure that the clamping is stable.
3. Adjust the Spreader parameters (e.g. pressure, speed) to keep the Metering rod in proper contact with the substrate or support roller.
4. Spreader operation, through the cavity of the Metering rod to control the wet film thickness.
5. After the Spreader is completed, clean the rod body in time to prevent Coating from clogging the wire winding gap.
Notice
* Coating thickness of the wire winding rod is determined by the diameter of the wire (in mils).
* Wire winding rod has no minimum cost and installation cost, and can be disbonded and rewound to save costs.
* For high viscosity coatings, consider using a gap bar or double-wound bar to reduce clogging and lines.
During operation, care should be taken to avoid damaging the chrome plating layer on the surface of the rod body to prolong the service life.
* When cleaning, it is necessary to thoroughly clean the residual Coatings in the gap between the wires to prevent blockage from affecting the next Spreader effect.
Customized products need to be submitted through the specified tools and produced according to the quotation.
