Overview
RDS 4 #L1000φ 10 is a wide-wound Applicator rod produced by RDS Corporation in the United States. RDS has more than 80 years of experience in the development and production of Spreader Metering rods. The product adopts the classic "Mayer" rod wide-wound design, which has the characteristics of simple operation, uniform coating and wide applicability, and can be used in Spreader processes in a variety of industries.
Features
1. Derived from the American RDS brand with a history of more than 80 years.
2. Adopting the classic wide-wound (Mayer rod) design, it is widely used.
3. The wet film thickness is 10.2 μm, and the coating control is accurate and uniform.
4. The diameter of the main rod is 10mm, the total length is 1000mm, and the effective application width is 900mm.
5. The mandrel is made of stainless steel 303, with chrome plating on the surface for good durability.
6. Can be customized according to specific needs.
Principle
The working principle of this wire-wound Applicator rod is based on the Mayer rod coating method. By tightly wrapping a stainless steel wire of a specific diameter (φ 0.10mm) onto the mandrel, a series of uniform cavities are formed between the wire and the mandrel. As the Coating flows through the rod body, excess Coating is scraped off by the wire, and the amount of Coating left on the substrate is determined by the diameter of the wire (i.e. cavity depth), enabling precise wet film thickness (10.2 μm) control.
Applications
Coating, window film, adhesive tape, release paper, photovoltaic film, wall covering material, special paper
