Overview
RDS 10 #L1000φ 10 wire-wound Applicator rod is a wire-wound Spreader Metering rod produced by RDS Company in the United States. RDS has more than 80 years of experience in R & D and production of coating rods, and its products are widely recognized in the Chinese market. This model adopts the winding process, which is suitable for a variety of substrates, and can achieve accurate and uniform film. It is one of the popular Spreader methods.
Features
1. Derived from the American RDS brand with a history of more than 80 years, with reliable quality.
2. Adopt the classic "Mayer" wire winding rod design, which is widely used and popular.
3. Wire winding rods can be disbonded and rewound, helping to save costs and reduce waste.
4. We offer more than 70 sizes of stainless steel wire and 15 different diameters of multi-stage stainless steel rods to meet diverse needs.
5. Accept customization, up to 12 feet in length, with high flexibility.
Principle
The Working Principle of the wire-wound Applicator rod is based on the "Mayer" rod coating method. As the coating flows through the stainless steel wire wound on the mandrel, the gaps (cavities) between the wires determine the thickness of the wet coating. Through the scraping action, the excess coating is scraped off, leaving a uniform, thickness-controlled coating. The final thickness of the coating is determined by the diameter (in mils) of the selected wire.
Applications
Coating, window film, adhesive tape, release paper, photovoltaic film, wall covering material, special paper
Steps
1. Select the appropriate wire diameter according to the required wet film thickness (such as 25.4μm) (such as φ 0.25mm, corresponding to 10 #rods).
2. Install the wide-wound Applicator rod to the Spreader device, ensuring that the effective application width (900mm) matches the substrate.
3. Coating is applied in front of the rod or on the substrate.
4. Bring the rod into contact with the substrate and maintain the appropriate pressure or tension for scraping.
5. After completing the Spreader, clean the rod body in time to prevent Coating from clogging the wire gap.
Notice
* There is no minimum cost and installation cost for wire winding rods.
* Wire winding rods can be disbonded and rewound to save costs and reduce waste.
* For higher viscosity coatings, consider using double-wound or notched rods to reduce clogging and lines.
After use, it should be cleaned up in time. The steel wire gap of the wire winding rod is more likely to be blocked than that of the forming rod.
* Customization requirements can be submitted through the NBchao Metering rod customization tool.
* Specific specifications (such as wet film thickness) are theoretical values, and practical applications are affected by factors such as Coating characteristics and operating conditions.
