Principle
The RDS wire-wound Applicator rod works based on the Mayer rod coating principle. When the coating is applied to the substrate and passes through the Metering rod, the wire wrapped around the mandrel determines the final thickness of the coating. The voids between the wires contain and Measurement Coatings, and excess Coatings are scraped off to form a uniform, thickness-controlled wet-film on the substrate.
